Gatlinburg 4th of July Parade and Fireworks

We can’t have a list of the best things to do in Gatlinburg in July without mentioning the 4th of July. Each year, the town of Gatlinburg celebrates with the first Independence Day  parade in the nation at midnight on July 3rd.

Honoring veterans and current military service members, the parade will be expected to bring in record crowds this year. The parade runs from traffic light 1A to traffic light 10, so visitors can line up along the Parkway along that route for the best views.

On the night of July 4th, a fireworks celebration will light up the Smokies starting around 10:00pm. Anyone with clear views of the sky in Gatlinburg can enjoy this spectacular lights show.

Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales

Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales is summer-long performance event throughout downtown Gatlinburg. The event features storytellers, period performers, musicians and artisans. Performances are each night of the week through August 9 from 5:00pm-10:00pm on weekdays and 6:00pm-11:00pm on weekends.

There isn’t one set stage for this event, and you never know where you’ll find cloggers, singers or whittlers. So, explore downtown, and enjoy!

Gatlinburg Trolley Tours
