The Gatlinburg Ball Drop and Fireworks ShowRed and yellow fireworks

The Gatlinburg Ball Drop takes place at the base of the Space Needle on Wednesday, December 31st. At midnight, the skies will come alive with a spectacular fireworks display launched from the top of the Space Needle. In addition, the display will feature music that has been specially choreographed for the event! The Space Needle has also added rhythmic LED lights to the tower, which will make the event even more spectacular.

Location Information

The Space Needle is situated in downtown Gatlinburg near the Parkway’s intersection with Historic Nature Trail. The location is easy to find as the 400 foot tower is hard to miss! There are plenty of restaurants in the immediate area so come early to enjoy a meal before the festivities begin. Many of the restaurants even offer celebration specials to commemorate the start of the New Year.
